Tender pieces of Australian beef, slow cooked for 8 hours in a glossy, rich sauce of garlic and mushrooms, with a hint of tomato and spiced with paprika. Serve over mashed potato, pasta or rice or use as a base to create your own meal by adding extra vegetables.

Preparation

  • Combi/steam oven
  • Stove top

Preparation Instructions

Boil in bag
Fill a stock pot (minimum 15lt volume per 2.5kg pouch) with water. Bring water to the boil and place pouches into the water.
If frozen boil for 80 to 90 minutes (or until a core temperature of 72oC is achieved)
If thawed boil for 45 to 55 minutes (or until a core temperature of 72oC is achieved)
Ensure water is sufficient to keep pouches from sitting on the bottom of the pot during heating.

Combi/steam oven
Set steamer to 100oC and 100% humidity
If frozen heat for 80 to 90 minutes (or until a core temperature of 72oC is achieved)
If thawed heat for 45 to 55 minutes (or until a core temperature of 72oC is achieved)

Stove top
Thaw pouch at or below 5oC
Open pouch and transfer to a suitable wide-base saucepan
Gently heat while stirring until a core temperature of 72oC is achieved
Heated product may be held at or above 65oC for up to 4 hours after heating.

Discard any leftover heated product.
